QA-CER is a certification scheme, already available in several countries for the verification of recycled content that assures the quality system related to the recycling process and use of recycled materials. Both the recycled content and the quality of the end product are addressed in order to support the principle of sustainability.
QA-CER certification scheme is based on the expertise of BQA (Belgian Quality Associatoin) which is a ISO 17021 certified company located in Gent, Belgium. Since 1993 it offers certification of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and several other system certification services. It has a large client base in several sectors such as textiles, plastic processing industry.
Plastica Seconda Vita certification scheme was founded in 2004 by IPPR – Institute for the Promotion of Recycled Plastics and the representatives for the Italia plastics value chain (producers, converters and recyclers):
